Our aim is to arm you with enough knowledge of the dances that you will not be a wall flower on your next party. Ballroom dancing can be intimidating if you do not know what you are doing. At the same token it is a very addictive leisure activity that has tons of benefits for you.
Credentials
Jojo is an examiner and dual fellow in modern ballroom and latin-american dances with both the UKA and the USTA. He is also holds an associate license with ISTD.
He has extensive competition experience having joined all major competitions in Asia, US and in England.
Jojo brought professional training and licensing in the Philippines, a co-organizer of the Philippine Starball - the most prestigious competition in South East Asia bringing the best competitors around the world.
Jojo is also a recognized adjudicator, been invited to the major competitions and championships in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Korea, Taipei, Hong Kong and the Philippines. He has adjudicated the Asian Open three times, a world ranking championship event.
Group Lessons
In order to maximize your dancing experience, we will be offering two dances per module. Each module will comprise a dance each from the modern ballroom dances and the latin-american dances, unless specified. We grouped the social dances together in moduel 4.
Each class lasts for an hour and will run for 8 weeks. We recommend wearing ballroom dancing shoes:
Ladies - closed toe for ballroom, open toe shoes for latin. Minimum of 2 1/2 inches heel.
Gentlemen - ballroom shoes for ballroom and latin shoes with cuban heels for latin.
Of course if that is not possible, please wear your most comfortable dancing shoes.
No partner needed, just bring your enthusiasm and energy!
